What would I need to lease a car and where do I start??

Basically, what would I need to begin my search and where would I go? And I mean finance, credit, etc. I just moved into a new city but do not plan to live here for more than 2 years. Hence my inclination to lease and not purchase a car. Any advice would be appreciated!

Driver license %26amp; Credit card.

$200 for the deposit, your D.L., your insurance or buy theirs, and some more $$$ to rent the car.

Don%26#039;t do it. Buy a car that you can afford. At least it%26#039;s yours. You can trade it if you like, but you don%26#039;t have to give it back like you would in a lease.

You need pretty good credit, money for a deposit which varies depending on cost of car, and proof of a steady job.

DO NOT Lease a car!!! A lease is a waste of money! A better plan? Buy a car you can afford to pay for with cash and start putting the %26#039;payment%26#039; in a car fund to upgrade vehicles as you can afford it. Remember, if you have to borrow money to buy it you CANT AFFORD IT! NEVER borrow money to purchase a depreciating asset. That is almost as big a waste of money as Leasing a car. Remember that the borrower is SLAVE to the lender. You dont want to be a Slave do you? Which would you rather have? Payments or Money? I would rather have money and that is what you have when you dont have payments! You can buy a good reliable car for around $2000.00 if you dont have much money. If you cant pay cash for a better car then you REALLY cant afford it. My little 98 Escort runs great, has only needed 3 repairs in 133,000 miles and only cost me $2000.00 to buy it! Good luck to you! Be sure to get an independant inspection by a mechanic of your choice before you buy a used car!
