Repo my car???
most banks/dealers that sell you a car wont repo it if your a month or so late. but, legally, they can repo it if your are a month late... no, they wont take money out of your pay checks unless youre sued, then yes, they can.
as long as you stay in contact with the bank, they arent going to repo it. They know that if they repo it, they are going to then try to sell it... and thats not what they do.
I had a friend who was 6 months behind on his payments, but because he kept in contact with the bank, they worked with him until he paid the car off... it of course jacked the payments up... his brother on the other hand was a shitbag and tried ignoring the collectors.. they repod it after the 3rd month.
call your bank once a week to let them know that you know youre behind on your payments, and and youre doing what you can do now. If you can send them $50, do it... show them that youre trying to get things caught up.
no bank wants to repo a car. It makes much more sense for them to work with you to pay it off.
Repo my car???
Yes, they can repo it, and yes, they can garnish your wages to pay the bill. The collectors are going to hound you and bug the crap outta ya. The phone will constantly have the collector on the other end, let%26#039;s make it work for ya, do this and that. They can also repo the car, while you are at work, take it to an auto auction and sell it. Then apply that money, which is hardly anything, to your bill with the lender. Now, you have no car and a debt in the thousands that you are legally bound to pay. Repo after one month late seems unfair, I would think you could work something out with the lender. If you can show them why you are late, and come up with a plan on how you can get caught up, they will probably work with you. If not, prepare to be hounded, threatened.
