Your opinion, what should I do for a new car?

I have 6000 cash. Now I want a brand new civic, but cant afford to finance it because payments would be too high. Now I can get a used civic and finance it but I would put almost all my cash down just to get a decent car to payments around what I want. OR I can lease a civic for 2000 down and keep the 4000 in savings. So should I get a used car, own it but not have anything in savings, or lease and lose my 2000 down and be able to keep 4000 in my savings...

keep some money in your savings and get one used.. if you must have a new one save a couple more thousands then go get a new one and keep some money in your savings..

keep cash on hand! invest some of the savings in gold...gld...3 months out you will be happy! this economy is upside down!

Get a used car anyway. Even if its 2007. You save a lot of money! I would advise getting a Toyota. They are the best built cars out now.

the best advice for you is DO NOT LEASE! thier so picky with the miles and they charge so much for every little nick and scratch on it. I know a few people who leased and would never do it again. Just think if someone hits you in a parking lot when you turn the lease it they will probably charge you like a grand for it. Or if your driving a friend someone and they spill pop or get mud on the interior thiers another grand down the drain for nothing. Your best bet is getting used, civics are REALLY reliable you can get 170k miles out of it if you take care of it. plus buying new isnt worth it as soon as you drive it off the lot you just lost like 5k in your investment. you can get a 07 civic with barely any miles ALOT cheaper than a new one. you just gotta find the best deal it just takes time but buying used is better than new or leasing trust me.

throw some d%26#039;s on them

I always get used cars at least a couple of years from the current year models. You don%26#039;t get hit as hard with depreciation. I would get a used civic maybe a little more than you have and finance it. You will have really low payments, money in the bank and a newer car.
