I am a mother of one with a fiance...I am looking for a family car for us to get to and from work (mainly my fiance). I want to put down 1500 to 2000 and then make a payment no more that 230 a month. Can anyone help me out? Where is the best place to go to get financed with ok or bad credit?
What is the best car for me?
What is a %26quot;family car%26quot; in your estimation? Personally I think the smallest possible, most economical vehicle you can live with is the best one to buy. A good (and I mean very low milage, mechananically sound) vehicle is sometimes the best bet. If you have 4 or fewer people in the family think Honda Civic or a comparable Toyota. Easy to drive. Low cost. Tough vehicles that don%26#039;t break down. And when they do they are relatively cheap to fix. If you have 5 or more think about a Honda Odesey or Dodge Caravan. All around good vehicles...not cheap but dependable.
With 1500 down you should be able to keep the civic under 250 a month. Try to put as much down as you can afford and if you can get a good clean used vehicle you might be able to do better than 250 month. Be very careful with the dealer%26#039;s financing and before you sign on the line get someone to look over the agreement. Better yet, get alternate financing numbers from your bank before you go into the dealership. that way you will have something to compare the dealer%26#039;s deal with. Dealers can be horribly unfair if they think they can get away with it. Beware!!!
What is the best car for me?
$10,000 amount financed = $200/month
For every thousand that you add or take away it%26#039;s about 20 dollar difference in you monthly payment.
