I have a 1998 Toyota Corolla. Car is literally falling apart. I don%26#039;t have the title because 1-2 years ago I filed for bankruptcy and the car loan had to be included on it. I still owe 900 dollars on the vehicle. My loan was financed through Toyota Financial Services. Any suggestions as to what I can do in this situation? I really need a newer car. Thanks for everyones help on this.

As for getting a newer vehicle you have 2 options, you can with a good size down payment most likely get in house financing with a buy here pay here dealer... I highly recommend you stay away as your interest rates and payments will outlast the car, I am 99% sure you will still owe a pile of dough when the car hits the junk yard.

Trading it in is not an option. You can do better buying one straight. Pay off your car and sell it locally to an individual. There has always been a buyer when I placed a car at the shopping center.

Or you can have it donated for tax purposes if you itemize.
