HE TOLD ME IT WAS FINANCED BUT HE GAVE US A LEASE AGREEMENT THEY BROUGHT THE PAPERS TO MY WIFE OUTSIDE A MOVIE THEATER AND HAD HER SIGN THE AGREEMENT I CALLED FOR THE BUYOUT AND IT WAS 32,000 AND I REALLY NEED TO DO SOMETHING WITH THIS CAR
I want to get out of leased car in my possesion right now the dealer screwed me?
If they held a gun to her and made her sign the papers, you need to call the police..If not,and she signed the papers, then it is her car to pay for...

You need to call the finance manager at the dealership and explain to him/her to what happened and see if they will do anything. Also Call the company who the car is leased thru and see if they can help. I would get a lawyer as well.

You really do have a problem. What you seem to be saying is that the papers were signed without ever being read, because if you had read them it would have pointed out it was a lease instead of a sale contract, and the down payment/trade in required would have normally been higher, and the notes would have been higher than on a lease. Now, you%26#039;ve enjoyed the lower notes and lower down payment and wish to change up the terms of the signed contract. I doubt any court of law anywhere in the country is going to be sympathetic to your plight. If the car was a lease, that means there were also mileage restrictions as to how many miles per year you can put on the car without paying through the nose for excessive mileage. The allowed mileage varies but is rarely more than 15,000 per year. The predetermined residual value of the car is predicated on it being a %26quot;low mileage%26quot; car since no one wants to buy a high mileage car unless cheap. The cost per mile the dealer adds for all over the pre-agreed (in the contract) mileage is pretty steep as it won%26#039;t re-sell for as much if not low mileage. Also, some leases specify you must have maintained the car according to the published maintenance schedule and be able to prove that with receipts or other contemporaneous records. I seriously doubt if you will be able to get out of the lease. Your best bet may be to buy it and retail it yourself to get as much for it as you can, and then cough up the balance to pay it off. No happy ending to your story I%26#039;m afraid.

basically, to get out of it, you need to pay. your wife signed the contract, it is a done deal. if she did not read the paperwork, that is her fault.. no one gets screwed if they read the paperwork.

I hate to be blunt but you got screwed because you were stupid about how this transpired. So many people gripe about how they got %26quot;ripped off%26quot; by a dealer. If you do your homework BEFORE you sign anything and take time to READ the contract, you won%26#039;t get %26quot;ripped off%26quot;. Next time, take time to think about what you are doing and you should be all right. As far as what to do now....enjoy your car.

The dealer didn%26#039;t screw you. Your wife did by signing a contract that she didn%26#039;t understand.
