Dealership will not come off the sticker price for the car I want?

I finally found a car I wanted after looking for a couple weeks. After the test drive the salesman hustled me to his desk. I did not look at the sticker. So after asking, the saleman said $25,400 plus taxes %26amp; lsc. And if I qualified for the loan it would equal be $xxx.xx a month..Similiar cars were that so I thought nothing about it. The next day he called me saying Toyota would finance me. I told him I would come %26amp; work out the details. Everything was ready when I got there. I was bothered since there was no negotiating so I asked the finance manager to show me the sticker. It was $23800, $1500 less than what I was told. He said, We came down so you would qualify. I asked %26quot;Will you throw in a satillite radio? He said, %26quot;Thats $400 NO, no way!%26quot; I said so you wont take less than sticker price? He said no again. So I walked! Their ID was on my phone when I got home. Should I call them? I should start all over with another dealer now that I know Toyota will finance me, Right?

FORGET THEM ALL TOGETHER................

End of month is a great time to BUY your new car, but it is NOT the best time to make your first dealership visit. Salesmen do try harder to make sales at the end of the month, which is about the last five days of the calendar month.

In addition to the end of the month, there are better and worse times of the year to buy. Best time of the year to buy is the end of December, in most dealerships. Dealerships try to make specific quotas for end of month AND end of calendar year, and it is not a popular time to buy, so sales can slump seriously and they will try harder to make a sale, which means a better bargain. If you shy away from buying in the winter because of bad weather, think again: bad weather is when you WANT to be in the car, testing it閳ユ獨 foul weather capabilities.

Other good times of year to buy are end of August and end of September because the old models are taking up space on the dealership property, and they want to make room for the new models to come in. If your heart is not set on a brand new model, this is an excellent time to buy a perfectly good new car that happens to have been manufactured a few months earlier.

There is a very important BUT to this end of month advice: Do NOT make your very first visit to the dealership at the end of the month. Go to the dealership at the beginning or middle of the month, test drive the cars, get some info, then go home and give yourself two to three weeks to get the best financing. THEN go back at month%26#039;s end armed with full information and a buying plan. Give yourself a day or two extra in case the first dealership doesn%26#039;t work out and you need to go to another one. This is a big purchase, don%26#039;t try to do it all in an afternoon!

I hate salesmen. I will walk right out if they try tricking me or are rude and pushy. I would shop around a little bit more since you are qualified. Call them back ask them what they came up with and if you are not satisfied tell them you are shopping around and you will call them next week. Gurantee they will come up with a figure you are happy with. If you think they are being slimy don%26#039;t deal with them. Thats alot of money so they should respect you and your decisions. A true person would say %26quot;okay shop around.%26quot; So if they do not have that attitude f-them. In these types of situations you need to be blunt and lay out what you want. You don%26#039;t need someone who is pushy and just trying to make money. You need someone out there to help you and make you feel comfortable in your buying situation. Also if you qualified for Toyota you should for sure qualify for a bank loan which would be lower interest and payments and you won%26#039;t have a pushy person calling you or begging you to buy a car. Try a credit Union or a personal bank. Good Luck!!!

Give them a buzz, and if they still don%26#039;t come down, go to a different dealership. Then, test drive a car back to the first dealership and tell them that you wanted to compare the cars side by side. :D They hate it when you do that.

Call them (One Time ONLY) if they will give you some details over the phone and you feel comfortable with it (Write Everything Down!) and go there and Deal (Sit there NO MORE then 45 minutes at the most) and if things aren%26#039;t going as you%26#039;d like walk and NEVER come back!

If they say %26quot;Come Here and We%26#039;ll Work things Out%26quot; say %26quot;Forget it%26quot; and Start Over Somewhere Else! You can find a car just as good or better somewhere else.

NOTE; Getting you to sit in their office for 3 to 5 hours is there of trying to %26quot;Break You Down%26quot; so you%26#039;ll take anything they come up with! or %26quot;This Deal Ends Here and Now%26quot; or %26quot;When You Walk Out the Door!%26quot; Just Lines to get you to Buy NOW! When %26quot;They!%26quot; Want You To Buy!

being a toyota dealership i guess it depends on which model you are looking at. if you are looking at the scion vehicles, then no, your not going to get a discount. scion per toyota%26#039;s rules are a one price deal. everyone buys them for the same prices which is sticker. if its a toyota product then more than likely they will come off the sticker price so keep working with them. you%26#039;ve got to understand, salesman make a living off sales. there%26#039;s not that much markup profit in a toyota, so there isnt much discounts. toyota%26#039;s also sell themselves. cars such as the prius, the hybrid camy or hybrid highlander are also not going to get much of a discount if any. the toyota yaris has all of $400 to $800 markup in them so again not much of a discount. same for the rav4. when the new sequoia comes out dont expect much in discount there either. how many times do you walk into walmart and ask how much discount theyre going to give. cars are one of the few places you can negotiate. ultimately you want to buy from a dealer who will treat you right over time. saving a $100 bucks isnt really worth it if your wanting this dealer to take care of you over time.

as for a dealer wanting a customer to %26quot;sit%26quot; there for 3 to 5 hours, thats bull. i would much rather have a customer in and out in less than an hour. the longer anyone sits anywhere the less they like it, i hate the dr%26#039;s office office. but, sometimes it takes awhile to purchase a car especially if there are credit issues.
