i want a car so bad, my parents are working in the states.then i found a website that would export the car you buy and ship it to the country you%26#039;re at. in my case i%26#039;m in the philippines. i%26#039;m somewhat confused if its legal to buy a salvaged car, because there was this one time i saw this news on t.v were the customs in our country (philippines) siezed a lot of cars which came from abroad and wrecked the hell out of %26#039;em after a few days. that was a waste of b-new wheels dude... i just want a car that wouldn%26#039;t be so tough on my folk%26#039;s budget.
They say its cheaper when bought abroad.
i really need a car, i%26#039;m not asking for a nice and b-new ones but not as old as the 90%26#039;s.
just something to help my sister and i in our daily transportation. as an option i resorted to set an eye on buying a car in the states and to be shipped to the philippines so that it would be easy for my parents to finance.
Is it ok to buy a salvage car, then have it shipped to the philippines?
Make sure you speak with customs and find out what their import regulations are. It is highly likely that there will be minimum criteria as to what can be imported - things like the year and make, pollution requirements, etc. Nearly all countries have import duties on vehicles depending on the value of the car - this is done to encourage buying cars from local dealers as opposed to having them shipped in. Additionally, you may want to find out what it costs to ship the car from the states to the %26#039;pines as this additional cost may make the vehicle too expensive. Do not ship it without finding out what the import regulations/duties are, otherwise your vehicle will likely become the property of the government. As far as shipping a salvage car . . . . my limited knowledge of Philippino regs suggest that this wouldn%26#039;t be possible. Best of luck!
Cheers!

Maybe you should start with a motor bike. Take it apart in the U.S. part by part and seal them in plastic with clear notations on where they all originally belong.
After every month, send some parts to the Philippines through balikbayan boxes or secure delivery methods. After receiving all the parts in the Philippines, rebuild the whole motor bike. Then register your motor bike in the Philippines.
If this works for you. Maybe you can rebuild enough motor bikes to sell and eventually buy a new car from the Philippines.
Good luck!
