Our family had a LEASED CAR, and our intention was to buy it at the end of lease in Nov. I made that clear to the AUTO FINANCE CUSTOMER REPS, TWICE.

The first time we received and sent the purchase documents, they said was INVALID because there was no PAYMENT CHECK. They told us that they will send us another document, so send that back with a PAYMENT CHECK. We waited, but NEVER RECEIVED THE DOCUMENTS.

During this process, 2 months passed, and they repossessed our car. As soon as I found out, I contacted them. They said we didn閳ユ獩 make the payments. I tried to explain to them and reason with them, but no one listened. We simply had to accept that our car was taken back.

We simply waited for the documents like they have said. We didn閳ユ獩 get billed for payments. We thought that would be settled when we get the documents. Now we owe $7000+ for over-mileage and etc. We may get billed for damages. What can I do? Could I argue my case to the court?

You need to call an atty. You may talk on the phone for free and if you have a legal aid division you can contact them. and you may get free advice. Getting legal advice is very important as I believe you only have a certain time from the time of incident, to fix this. Depnding on state laws, I don%26#039;t think small claims can handle that because this type of court action only collects up too $2500. and your claim is higher. It maybe a civil suit.

If you live near the dealership where you originally bought the car, you should go there. If you don%26#039;t, then go to a dealership that sells that type of car.
