I want to buy a new car soon and i am completely clueless.?

I%26#039;m nineteen years old and i want to buy a NEW car from a dealer... i know you are probably thinking that i should ask my parents to co-sign for me but that is not an option because i live by myself and i have already bought a used car from a dealer in the past. besides, i know i wont have a problem getting financed, i have good credit and great income.

so, my question to you is...

I paid the sticker price on the last car that i bought and now i know that doing so was really stupid and i will not do that agian.

So what do i say or do to negotiate the price on a NEW car?

Any GOOD advice is much appreciated!!

p.s. i have already made up my mind on buying a new Chevy Tahoe so please do not try to convince me to buy a hybrid or anything else of that nature.

A new car depreciates by about 2-5% the day you drive it off of the dealer%26#039;s lot. Go for a lease returned identical model and save about 5-10 grand easy.

To negotiate the price down do not have a nasty attitude and try to act like you are doing them a favor and want them to kiss your ***. Just be upfront with the salesman and tell them you know they have to make a profit on the car to stay in business but at the same time you want a good price. Keep it civilized.

BUT the best way to get a good deal is to go towards the end of the month when sales quotas have to be met and they are motivated to move inventory. It helps if you go on a Monday night when it is cold and raining cause they will have no customers in the place and will be more eager to sell for less.

If you go on a weekend when it is nice and sunny they will make you pay for it.
