I am currently working and making 9.50/hr (30-40 hrs/week). I have a student loan and another loan under 4,000 that I%26#039;m slowly paying off. Unfortunately my car decided to take a crap on me and I need to be able to finance a newer vehicle. Where%26#039;s the best place to get an car loan from? I%26#039;ve tried my personal credit union and it%26#039;s rather outrageous. Or better yet, any ideas on a smart way to get a newer vehicle would be great. Thanks in advance.

I guess that all depends on what you mean by outrageous. Bad credit isn%26#039;t going to get you a good rate anywhere. I would suggest you take the higher interest rate and shop for a lower priced car.

You can get low finance rates at the dealer if you buy a new car. But you gotta have a good credit rating to get the best rates.

If your smart you can get a great car for less than 2,500.00 on Craigslist. Bought a car myself 1,200.00 three years ago ( a lot of miles ) and still running strong. ( Honda or Toyota )
